MEET ELIZABETH
Elizabeth lives in sunny Los Angeles, but is originally from Chicago. She spent 25 years as a graphic designer, as well as a motion graphic designer. Her portfolio includes works for major television and advertising agencies, as well as print and package design for the beauty industry.
After having children, she transitioned out of the fast paced world of technology, deadlines and decisions, to the more tactile and slow world of painting. It has been a natural progression, and she enjoys the organic and intuitive nature of it.
Elizabeth uses her love of color, composition, shape and negative space, and applies it to the canvas. Her paintings are a study of shapes, and how they interact with each other. Often, each painting starts out as a colorful mess, and slowly, through experimentation and risk, she resolves it to the composition that she feels is harmonius and somehow complete.
